I don't think much has changed since the last relationship update. He just consistently feels really comfortable and chill around Belt and it's nice. She is definitely a person who could ask for more details about his life and feelings than he volunteers and he'd be comfy telling her, but she doesn't ask so he doesn't volunteer stuff.

He's still a bit jealous that she gets to have a version of Coco in Kyriakos with her and he continues to be bereft of Ryuuji though.

Head canon for me Haruhi's relationship with both her parents. :3

Assuming you mean AU Haruhi :V

- loev her mama and they have a lot of hobbies in common like sweets and fashion (probably more making clothes given the current setting) though she sometimes faceplams at Yuuki's antics. But it is a loving facepalm. Really wants her Mom to be awake 8((((
- loev Zero and thinks of him as her father; their common interests are more practical than hobby-like (horseback riding and weapons!1) (well not so much horseback riding in AU-land but weapons yes) but he was...a really comforting and safe presence for her. She looked up to and admired both her parents in different ways but I think more of her like...life outlook...comes from Zero.
- KANAME IS JUST SOME DUDE WHO CONTRIBUTED DNA TO HER and her feelings towards him resentment because UR NOT MY REAL DAD but also a lot of obligation because this is what her mom would have wanted, for her to take care of him... And she has conflicted feelings about him because on the one hand Yuuki always spoke of him really fondly but Zero was always like "I DISAPPROVED OF THEIR RELATIONSHIP 8| /refuses to speak more" so Haruhi is very unsure about Kaname.

Talk to me about Rook and his best bird buddy.

SOMEWHERE ALONG THE WAY Tart developed some serious dere for Rook. I think because Rook is so often cheerful and sweet in daily life and concerned for Tart it kind of squirmed under Shuu's defenses and now Tart's just "aw crap dere." I think it's probably pretty similar to how Ryuuji (aka party bird) squirmed under Shuu's defenses, but in this case Shuu's are firmly platonic with a side of protectiveness. And these feelings of protectiveness towards are partly because rook is so much younger than him (Shuu is chronologically 27 and developmentally mid-thirties), and in part because he has Opinions about what constitute proper and appropriate familial relations. He wants to kill Rook's sister really hard too. >8|

Ummm and there's probably also a bit jealous that Rook gets to have Castling in Kyriakos too. Like, he's happy for Rook because they're so cute together but also there's a small part of him that's like, WHY CAN'T I HAVE MY PRECIOUS PERSON HERE TOOOOOO

How does Tart feel about Lion?

Lion seems like a sensible person! He is sensing some history between Technic and Lion but otherwise hasn't seen anything (either in Technic's memories or otherwise) that would suggest anything sinister so he thinks of Lion as "Technic's worldmate who is a sensible dude." He wouldn't mind talking to Lion more.

What does Lion think about Tart? :V

It's mostly mutual! Lion feels like Tart is a very sensible, reliable bird, and one he feels he can trust in future bad games. There's definitely some hesitation there since he remembers Technic and he's a bit unsure about whether or not Amalthea as a team knows anything about him. However, since Tart has been nothing but helpful and amicable to him, he assumes that if they know anything it isn't much. There is the concern that Tart will chase him off once Technic remembers Lion throwing him into a wall, but of everyone he met on Amalthea, he feels like Tart would be the one most likely to try and sensibly discuss what was up there.

How's Ace feeling on the new realm?

Ehhh, he doesn't have any strong reactions to it or anything... He DID enjoy camping out for the night that lasted but now there are proper dorms with indoor plumbing so he's pleased with those. Otherwise I assume his room isn't all that different so it's a bit hard for him to really. React to that.

I think he's looking forward to a chance to see the stars more and maybe camp out occasionally for a change of scenery since he hasn't really been able to camp out since, uh...Three's realm...where I think he camped out on the Sterling fortress's roof once... And he does like forests and trees so preference-wise it's nice to be among them again. He hopes haunches return because those were tasty.

But really kind of hard to give Ace reactions to stuff in Aather because at this point he pretty much doesn't care about much of anything at all... So his reactions to things like "new realm" tend to be fairly mild and superficial.

How does Van feel about the new realm? :V
