Memory 12 (won Day 38, taken Day ###)
Neutral-Positive: Confronted by Sakuya in the infirmary.
Details: Won in the Duchess's kissing-role game.
[The memory starts with Shuu chilling in the infirmary. It's dark because of the dome over the school (I keep forgetting to mention that but that's a thing through most of the BBL memories, oops). Then Sakuya bursts in.]
SHUU
"...Mister Shirogane.
You look quite fatigued. Would you care to rest for a little while?"
SAKUYA
"You... you are wrong, are you not, sir?"
SHUU
"Whatever could you mean?"
SAKUYA
"I wish to learn the truth."
"What did you and Sakazaki do?
Which of you decided to kill Tosaka?"
SHUU
"That's not something to say without proof, Mister Shirogane."
"But then... we have but little time left. Perhaps I shall explain things to you."
"I did not kill Miss Tosaka.
This is the truth."
SAKUYA
"...!"
SHUU
"Mister Sakazaki did not kill her, either.
Which raises the question... who did?"
SAKUYA
"Sakazaki admitted that he was involved in the crime! He cannot possibly be--"
SHUU
"I merely said that he did not kill her. I did not say he wasn't involved.
Of course, the same applies to myself."
SAKUYA
"The two of you did not kill her, but were involved...? But then...
Who did kill her?"
SHUU
"Oh, dear me... this won't do.
Talking to you makes me feel like I'm about to fall asleep."
"I suppose these are the limits of a mere mongrel."
SAKUYA
"Doctor, I--"
SHUU
"Could you be quiet for a minute, Mister Shirogane?
You bore me."
"You filthy... low-born... mongrel."
SAKUYA
"Wha... what are you saying, sir?!
I am not like Saka--"
SHUU
"You did well.
Thanks to you, Mister Kawara has found almost everything he needs. Just one more push, and he'll be done."
"Thank you, Mister Shirogane."
[At this point, Shuu attacks Sakuya with a poisoned scalpel. However, there's a blur of white before his blade connects with Sakuya--]
SAKUYA
"..."
"..."
"...?"
[As it turns out, Yuuya's appeared in the nick of time to save Sakuya, throwing himself in the way and taking the blow for himself.]
SAKUYA
"Sakazaki...!"
YUUYA
"Stop that, Isa! I told you not to touch my brother."
SAKUYA
"Y-your wing..."
SHUU
"Such beautiful brotherly love, Mister Sakazaki.
You were the real hero all along, of course."
"I only promised that I wouldn't tell other people.
Not that I wouldn't tell him myself... or that I wouldn't kill him."
"And after all that work to steal the records from Mister Kawara, too."
YUUYA
"...yeah, you've always been like this.
A coward and a villain to the core."
SHUU
"Oh, such flattery."
SAKUYA
"What are you doing, Doctor?
Why?
Why are you doing this?!"
SHUU
"I told you, remember?
You bore me. Now that you have helped Mister Kawara as much as you can, I have no more use for you."
"Why should I put up with your babbling now that I am done with you?"
SAKUYA
"I do not understand, sir.
What did you and Sakazaki-"
SHUU
"This is exactly what I'm talking about. I have no responsibility to explain to you.
...Goodbye, Mister Shirogane."
YUUYA
"No! Don't move, Sakuya!"
[At this point Sakuya makes a move to grab or otherwise hinder Shuu as he turns to leave, and Shuu strikes again. And, again, Yuuya throws himself in the way of the blade. Then Ryouta enters.]
RYOUTA
"Sakuya!"
SHUU
"...oh, Mister Kawara.
We were just discussing you."
RYOUTA
"Doctor!
So it was you all along!"
SHUU
"Was it?
I wonder about that.
Hohoho."
SAKUYA
"P-pull yourself together, Sakazaki!
Say something!"
SHUU
"Don't worry, he won't die just yet.
I'm sure you'll enjoy a confession or two, so ask him all you want."
RYOUTA
"Wait, Doctor--"
[There's the sound of shattering glass and then a weird scarecrow abomination with a long metal arm appears.]
SCARECROW
"Hy... u... hyu..."
RYOUTA
"Th-the scarecrow...!"
SHUU
"There you are, Labor 9.
I was waiting for you.
Come, let us go."
LABOR 9 (THE SCARECROW)
"...aaaa... aah..."
SHUU
"Just a little more, Mister Kawara.
Do you think you'll remember soon?"
RYOUTA
"Stop running away!"
"You killed Hiyoko! I will never forgive you!"
SHUU
"I'm glad you're so lively.
That's good."
"I shall be waiting for you, deep beneath the surface.
Chase me, Mister Kawara!"
[Exeunt, followed by a scarecrow.]
