Amalthea, feel free to have seen either of these memories, accidentally or less-than-accidentally, while Shuu was gone. Feel free to have taken a peek at his past memories, even, should your character have been so inclined.
Key things to remember for anyone who wants to take that option:
* Shuu is colorblind and can only see red; everything else is, presumably, shades of grey.
* His world is full of designed-for-human buildings...
* ...but unless otherwise noted everyone around him is also a giant talking bird.

This memory is set a few years before canon. Shuu is a high-tech underground facility, standing in front of a monitor that shows a map of the world while a voice comes in over the speakers. (Note: At this point in time he's still primarily using the alias of "Isa Souma" and will be referred to as such in this write-up from this point onwards.)
VOICE
Head of the First Biology Division, Isa Souma. Saint Pigeonation Academy will open in three months. Your new post is at the affiliated medical treatment center within the school.
ISA
Saint Pigeonation Academy... I've heard it's a high school with a cooperative ideology.
VOICE
The majority of the investors have ties to us. You should have no lack of freedom.
ISA
I see. Then there should be no shortage of research equipment.
VOICE
As for your new residence and the compensation...
ISA
Yes, they will do. As long as I can continue with my research without hindrance, I don't have much interest in anything else, so please send the documents later.
[He turns to exit the room as the voice continues speaking.]
VOICE
Your enthusiasm for your work is greatly appreciated. With your power we will surely accomplish it.

Results:
- Despite the name of this memory, as the Hawk Party isn't mentioned in it directly, Shuu won't realize that's who he was working for.
- Research is everything!! Material comforts are meaningless as long as they allow him to continue conducting research.
- Research research research.
- Not a lot of reaction to the final statements of the voice, one way or another.
Thoughts on Canon:
This memory is interesting because we don't get a lot of reasons for Shuu's motivations for working with the Hawk Party, really. The Hawk Party is one of the two major political forces in the Hatoful world, and is the one that advocates for world peace via human genocide. And as a chick Shuu lost his parents, full use of his right wing, and full vision due to a human terrorist attack on his home - and his parents were wealthy philanthropists who advocated for coexistence between humans and birds. So there is a very easy connection to make there, that the terrorist attack is what drove Shuu to join the extremist Earthcrawlers of the Hawk Party.
And yet. Shuu wasn't very close to his parents and regarded them as hypocritical in their business practices, whatever their outward politics. And one of the backers of Saint Pigeonation's is the Ichijou Group, which is implied to in fact be the company that his parents owned before their death, that he inherited before he signed his inheritance away, discarded his birth name, and made mad science his life. Shuu's birth name is Ichijou Utsuro.
So I don't think that easy connection between "humans killed my parents -> kill all humans for peace" is really applicable here. It creates a bit of a mystery about Shuu's motivations for joining the Hawk Party so early on - after the bombing that resulted in his parents' death, he almost immediately signed his inheritance away and vanished, resurfacing among the Earth Crawlers as Isa Souma. There aren't any clear dates on when these events took place in relation to each other but it seems to have happened in fairly quick succession. Just what happened there? Was the Hawk Party just the only place where the research that interested him was happening? Did they see him as a potential pawn - "Ichijou Heir Returns, Ichijou Group in Turmoil!" - and decide to control him by offering him research under their well-funded wingtips?
Here's another thought: When he started doing research as Isa Souma, he was already a member of the Hawk Party and he worked under or closely with Kawara Ryuuji during that time. Was Ryuuji a member of the Hawk Party too? Was there a front company that he worked for, unaware of the nefarious birds that were funding his research? Or was he just too absent-minded to care about the consequences of his work?
Would he have approved of Operation Hatoful, had he lived to see it? If Shuu hadn't used his son as the vector for the Charon virus?
At any rate, Shuu seems like a singularly un-idealistic and un-sentimental person (except where Ryuuji is involved). Whatever his reasons for joining the Earth Crawlers and the Hawk Party, I doubt they were political or ideological, and I highly doubt that he cares overmuch about world peace. I do think he'd agree to any party line that ensured his funding flow would remain uninterrupted.
Neutral-Neutral: Questioned about the blood-stained stranger. (4)
Details:
At this point in BBL, Shuu and Yuuya are hanging out in a chemistry room with the corpse of a human teenage girl, which was dismembered at some point but as now been pieced back together and...thoroughly...autopsied. Then Ryouta and Sakuya burst in to start asking them questions.
(Note: I'm not going to describe the teenage girl, Tosaka Hiyoko, because she's the protagonist of the dating routes portion of Hatoful Boyfriend and thus has no canon appearance. I can provide more details for anyone who wants to know via sneaking memory peeks, though.)

"Salut! How goes the investigation?"

"Yeah, yeah. Unlike me, you're a very capable bird."
RYOUTA
"Yuuya, we wanted to ask you something."
YUUYA
"Oh?
I'll answer anything that doesn't violate my privacy, so ask away."
RYOUTA
"Did you really not see anything yesterday after school?"
YUUYA
"...I'm not sure I know what you mean."
"I thought the Doctor and I already verified each other's innocence?
We were in the infirmary the entire time."
RYOUTA
"We talked to San earlier.
He said that he saw a blood-stained stranger going to the infirmary yesterday."
SAKUYA
"Did you see anything like that?"
YUUYA
"Um... nope, sorry."
SAKUYA
"Could you be the blood-stained bird yourself?"
YUUYA
"Yikes! No, as you can see, I'm not hurt anywhere at all."
"Besides, he said he saw this bird going to the infirmary, not going into the infirmary, right?"
RYOUTA
"...yeah, he did."
YUUYA
"Anyway, I didn't see anything.
There's not much more I can say.
Right, Doctor?"
SHUU
"...yes, that's right.
No one came yesterday."
RYOUTA
"I don't think we'll find anything more here, Sakuya.
Let's move on."
